Peyman has born as an adrenaline junkie. Doing adventures is in his blood. It is simply who he is. Here you can read his story by his own words.

”For me, my home is in Finnish Lapland. There I have lived most of my life. I really love Lapland and for me it is a very special place. I graduated as a wilderness guide from vocational college of Tampere in Finland. I have always loved adventures and I remember that I have been doing different adventures since I have been a kid. But after all these years, riding my bicycle around the World is one of my favourite.

I wanted to cycle around the World. I saved money for two years by working and living in a van in Helsinki, Finland. The van was very tiny and it didn’t have running water neither heating.

In August 2018, I finally sold my car and most of my belongings, and cycled off into the World with my ex. We cycled till Gambia a got stuck there because of the pandemic for a year. When it was possible again, we came back to Finland and crossed the Finland from Helsinki to Rovaniemi in the middle of the winter. I started my other part of cycling in Africa and flew to east Africa in order to continue my journey. I cycled solo from Kenya to Namibia.

Traveling for so long, means it is a lifestyle, and I love it. Discovering new places every day, meeting the most wonderful people and ending each day by pitching my home in a new, wild campsite. It is all an adventure, and it is all so exciting and inspiring that I cannot imagine it will ever get boring.

Crossing countries by bicycle feels like that I have discovered a whole new planet. I also enjoy living an ecological lifestyle which it is possible for me now. I eat from nature as much as I can: berries, nuts, fruits, mushrooms, herbs and the odd roadkill deer. The bonus is that being ecological also most of the time means being economical.”
